Stephanie Bice OK-5 (R)

Rep. Stephanie Bice (OK-5): what she’s backed — and who it harms

1) Anti-LGBTQ / trans-targeting actions

  • Backed a federal trans sports ban. Bice touted her vote for the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” saying it would ban “all males” from women’s school sports nationwide (i.e., exclude transgender girls and women). Representative Stephanie Bice+1
  • Opposed federal LGBTQ civil-rights protections. She voted No on the Equality Act, which would add explicit federal protections against discrimination for sexual orientation and gender identity. AFL-CIO

2) Anti-immigrant actions

  • Sponsored the House bill increasing criminal penalties for unlawful entry/re-entry. The House passed her bill in Sept. 2025; it imposes tougher sentences (including new mandatory minimums) and expands penalties tied to immigration status. Roll Call
  • Voted for the Laken Riley Act. Requires DHS to detain non-citizens upon arrest for certain offenses (e.g., theft, burglary), and lets states sue the federal government over immigration enforcement decisions. Bice issued a statement praising her vote. Congress.gov+1

3) Anti-diversity / anti-DEI stance

  • Cosponsored the “Eliminate DEI in Colleges Act” (H.R. 1282, 119th). The bill would cut off federal funds to colleges that conduct or maintain DEI programs or offices. Congress.gov lists Bice as a cosponsor. Congress.gov

4) Oklahoma’s current policies — and why they matter to her constituents

  • SB 613 (2023): Oklahoma bans gender-affirming care for minors (puberty blockers, hormones, surgeries), with penalties for providers. Signed May 1, 2023. Welcome to Oklahoma’s Official Web Site+1
  • SB 615 (2022): Requires school bathrooms/locker rooms by “biological sex,” excluding transgender students from facilities matching their gender identity. Oklahoma Senate
  • SB 1100 (2022): Prohibits nonbinary birth certificates; limits sex markers to male or female. Litigation over related birth-certificate restrictions continues, with the 10th Circuit reviving a challenge in 2024. Oklahoma Senate+2Oklahoma Legislature+2

How these choices harm Oklahomans:
Blocking care and accurate documents increases harassment and mental-health risk among trans youth; bathroom restrictions worsen bullying and absenteeism. Enforcement-heavy immigration bills chill crime reporting and destabilize industries that rely on immigrant labor (ag, health care, hospitality) across Greater OKC, while anti-DEI moves reduce inclusion and pipelines for under-represented students and workers. Other homophobic/transphobic positions she’s promoted

  • Repeated promotion of the federal trans sports ban and framing trans inclusion as a threat to “safety” and “fairness,” per her official press release supporting the House bill. Representative Stephanie Bice

A call to REALTORS® & RPAC (Article 10)

Article 10 of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics obligates REALTORS® to provide equal professional service regardless of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

When RPAC dollars go to candidates advancing exclusionary laws (e.g., anti-LGBTQ bans, detention-on-arrest immigration bills, and efforts to defund DEI in higher ed), that undercuts fair housing and harms the very communities REALTORS® serve.

Ask your REALTOR® to pause RPAC contributions until RPAC commits to:

  1. Stop funding candidates who sponsor or vote for discriminatory policies; and
  2. Align political giving with Article 10, publicly and consistently—not just during Pride or diversity observances.

Fair housing isn’t partisan. Equality isn’t optional.
